Job summary

CBRE is seeking an Instrumentation and Calibration Technician in Pennsylvania to calibrate and adjust complex equipment across facilities and laboratories. The role emphasizes precise documentation, customer communication, and on-site support for CBRE's critical environments.

You will perform advanced calibrations, generate certificates, and coach staff while adhering to standardized procedures to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2–3 years of job-related experience.
• In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Experience using a multimeter is strongly preferred.
• Meet the physical requirements including lifting 50 lbs or more.
• Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
• Experience with analyzing information to make judgments.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Strong organizational skills and inquisitive mindset.
• Intermediate math skills for percentages and fractions.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced calibrations and adjustments for calibration devices across multiple disciplines (temperature, humidity, pressure, dimensional, torque, force, electrical).
• Maintain proper documentation in the metrology database, including certificates and history forms.
• Communicate with customers about progress, and resolve issues as necessary.
• Generate certificates of calibration or out-of-tolerance reports in the correct format.
• Coach staff on calibration at customer locations on-site.
• Identify and use appropriate measurement procedures and suggest improvements.
• Lead by example and model CBRE RISE values.
• Work within standardized procedures to meet deadlines.
• Exchange information clearly and verify understanding.
