Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is seeking a Lab Infra Engineer in Redmond, WA for an onsite role. You will support prototype bring-up, test execution, device farm operations, and cross-functional engineering efforts in a fast-paced R&D environment.

Responsibilities include setting up prototype hardware, provisioning devices, maintaining lab infrastructure, and assisting in validation cycles across functional testing. Strong troubleshooting and Linux experience required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in lab infra, hardware validation, or test labs.
• Hands-on experience with consumer electronics, embedded systems, or prototype devices.
• Strong understanding of device setup, configuration, and hardware troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems and basic command-line operations.
• Ability to analyze logs, document results, and track issues systematically.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured test procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prototype device setup, lab operations, and maintaining test systems.
• Device provisioning, firmware flashing, and configuration changes for engineering teams.
• Manage prototype device farms and ensure CI pipelines are test-ready.
• Execute hardware, firmware, and system-level tests across devices.
• Troubleshoot failures, isolate hardware vs software issues, and capture logs.
• Support lab maintenance, inventory tracking, and calibration schedules.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Firmware, Hardware, and Infrastructure teams.
