Qualifications

• Ph.D. in biochemistry, protein chemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, structural biology, biophysics, or related field with 5+ years of industry experience.
• 1–3 years' experience leading employees and projects.
• Proven protein reagent generation and delivery for antibody discovery or related workflows.
• Experience with mammalian, insect, bacterial, and/or cell-free expression systems.
• Hands-on purification and characterization methods: affinity, SEC, MS, endotoxin testing, and activity assays.
• Knowledge of AlphaFold or similar structure-prediction tools for construct design.

Responsibilities

• Leads a scientific team generating and supplying high-quality protein reagents for antibody generation.
• Defines reagent strategies for soluble and membrane proteins, variants, and controls.
• Oversees design, expression, purification, and analytical characterization of reagents.
• Partners with Antibody Generation to ensure quality, stability, and timelines.
• Maintains quality standards for identity, purity, and lot-to-lot consistency.
• Applies protein biochemistry, molecular biology, and biophysics to troubleshoot targets.
• Mentors scientific staff and upholds rigorous experimental practices.
