Job summary

Lynker Technologies in Mississippi seeks an Engineering Technician II (Lab) to support the National Data Buoy Center. You will perform component-level assembly, bench testing, diagnostics, and repair of electronic systems used in weather and ocean observation platforms.

The role involves working with a variety of test equipment, following procedures and schematics, and coordinating with team members to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Entry-level training or experience in maintenance, repair, test and modification of electrical and electronics systems.
• Familiarity with calibration, data acquisition systems, test sets, sensors, laboratory bench equipment and precision calibration electro-mechanical instruments.
• Education: AS/AAS Electronics, Instrumentation, Engineering Technology or related field.
• Must pass a government background check.

Responsibilities

• Electronics that require the application of various methods to include assembly, bench testing, diagnostics, troubleshooting and repair of electronic Line Replaceable Units and processing systems.
• Perform duties in an electronics laboratory environment using bench type electronic testing equipment.
• Experience testing and troubleshooting environmental monitoring sensors and data collection systems.
• Experience with Analog, Digital and RF circuitry.
• Work independently following procedures with time constraints and periodic supervision.
