Job summary

University of Texas at Austin's Applied Research Laboratories seeks an Assembly Control Technician to support the Advanced Technology Laboratory. The role includes inventorying parts, processing orders, updating documentation, and ensuring deliverables are prepared for government delivery.

Ideal candidates have HS/GED with 2 years of experience, and can work with Windows/Linux, read technical drawings, and adapt to evolving priorities in a team environment at Pickle Research Campus.

Qualifications

• HS/GED required and two years of relevant experience.
• Ability to follow written technical instructions.
• Ability to read and explain technical drawings.
• Proficient with Windows and Linux-based systems.
• Willing to work with new technologies and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Inventorying, ordering, and tracking parts for NSW deliverable systems; include quoting, PO submission, status updates, data entry and shipping requests.
• Track and organize all deliverable and testing documentation; ensure formatting and photography prior to government delivery.
• Update red-lined procedures and acceptance testing docs; update red-lined technical drawings; convert documents to digital forms using Adobe Acrobat.
• Support the technical staff in testing deliverable and non-deliverable systems.
• Other related functions as assigned.
