Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a part-time courier to transport laboratory specimens, mail, and supplies between MercyOne facilities and customers. The role requires following infection control and safety procedures, documenting routes, and ensuring proper temperature control for sensitive materials.

You will use courier software, participate in department huddles, and support LEAN principles while maintaining high service standards and safety in daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED is required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Two years’ courier experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of materials management preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required and must meet safety standards.
• Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to drive in Iowa.

Responsibilities

• Transport laboratory specimens, mail, and supplies between MercyOne facilities and customers.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures; handle chemicals per safety protocols.
• Use courier software and devices to track packages and document routes.
• Maintain required storage temperatures for temperature-sensitive materials.
• Attend department huddles and document workflow; support LEAN practices.
