Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a Laboratory Courier to support laboratory operations by transporting specimens and maintaining routes. The role operates PRN with variable shifts, requiring reliable transportation and adherence to safety protocols.

As a courier, you will perform daily vehicle maintenance, verify deliveries, and document routes and incidents. You will work with a dedicated team to ensure timely test results for patients across perimeter locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid state driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to operate a vehicle independently and prioritize deliveries.
• Comfortable using a smartphone for route and communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform pickup and delivery of laboratory specimens to designated areas.
• Use appropriate handling, storage and transportation methods.
• Perform daily, preventive maintenance of an assigned vehicle.
• Verify that delivery has been completed properly.
• Ensure that all items are picked up and delivered, barcodes are scanned, and signatures are obtained.
• Submit daily route sheets, accident reports, maintenance records and mileage reports.
• Check all fluid levels daily and perform basic safety checks of mechanical operations.
• Report any malfunctions and problems to the section leader for correction.
