Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a full-time Courier to support MercyOne Central Iowa by transporting laboratory specimens, mail and supplies between facilities. You will uphold infection control standards and use courier software to document routes and timing.

Responsibilities include maintaining cold chain where required, ensuring vehicle cleanliness, participating in department huddles, and supporting peers. A valid driver’s license and English proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Two years’ courier experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of materials management preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required and must meet safety standards.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Transports laboratory specimens, mail and supplies between facilities.
• Adheres to infection control and safety protocols.
• Maintains vehicle cleanliness and documents routes using courier software.
• Ensures temperature-sensitive materials are stored/cycled properly.
• Attends department huddles and supports peers.
• Complies with policies to track packages and optimize transport time.
