Job summary

Werfen is seeking a Field Service Engineer for lab automation in the Southeast Territory. You will install, maintain and optimize automation systems at healthcare facilities nationwide, ensuring uptime and performance.

Responsibilities include executing installation and preventive maintenance, testing and software upgrades, and collaborating with customer engineering teams. Travel up to 90% with overnight travel; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

Associates Degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Technology, or related industry training required.
Minimum 2 years in a Service, Support, or equivalent experience in a healthcare customer facing or support environment.
Working knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems and network connectivity.
Working knowledge of personal computers and Windows Operating Systems; legacy up to current version.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize Werfen lab automation systems at healthcare facilities nationwide.
Pass all operation qualification tests and install software/hardware upgrades.
Collaborate with teams to plan and execute procedures; ensure professionalism and timely follow-up.
Ensure correct placement of Werfen automation equipment with customer teams.
Provide updates to sales and applications teams about customer situations.
Comply with Quality and Regulatory requirements; maintain accurate records.
Perform other duties as assigned.
