ProAutomated is hiring travel-focused field technicians to support data center startups and on-site testing across North America. You will work with system integrators and manufacturers to ensure reliable operation when it matters most.

Expect rotations such as 5 on-2 off or 14 on-7 off, with per diem and mileage benefits. A technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience is required, and relocation assistance is available as you grow with a people-first team.

Qualifications

• Must love travel and be willing to be away from home on rotation.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, programming, and communication networking.
• Adaptability and grit; thrive when plans change and challenges pop up.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Personal vehicle within 45 days of employment for local projects.
• Technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience (3+ years) in a related field such as electrical, mechanical, or automation engineering.

Responsibilities

• Support data center startups, performing on-site mechanical, electrical, and control checks.
• Lead startup, checkout, and acceptance testing for warehouse fulfillment and manufacturing systems.
• Partner with automation and controls engineers to test, troubleshoot, and validate systems on-site.
• Provide clear communication and updates to customers and project teams to keep progress smooth and accurate.
• Typical travel rotations follow a days on - off schedule; 5 on - 2 off, 10 on - 4 off, or 14 on - 7 off.
