GenScript USA Inc. in Piscataway, NJ seeks an Automation Engineer to provide daily technical support for laboratory automation platforms, troubleshoot issues, and perform maintenance to maximize uptime.

You will work with platforms such as Tecan and Hamilton, develop SOPs, and maintain service records while collaborating with lab users to improve operations at the Gene R&D department.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation engineering or related field.
• 1+ year experience in equipment support, automation, maintenance, or related technical environment.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of mechanical and/or electrical equipment.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Strong problem-solving and documentation skills.

Aufgaben

• Provide daily technical support for lab automation platforms, troubleshooting and repair.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, sensor, robotic, communication, and software issues.
• Support automation platforms such as Tecan, Hamilton, and other equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to improve reliability.
• Conduct root cause analysis for recurring equipment failures and implement actions.
• Maintain service history and troubleshooting records.
• Develop and update SOPs and maintenance procedures.
• Assist with installation, commissioning, upgrades, and small improvement projects.
• Collaborate with lab users to resolve issues and improve operations.
