Job summary

GenScript USA Inc./ProBio Inc. in Piscataway, NJ seeks an Equipment Engineer to support laboratory and production equipment onsite. You will perform hands-on maintenance, calibrations, and repairs while keeping clear records and ensuring reliability.

You will coordinate OEM or third‑party service, manage CMMS work orders, and contribute to quality compliance with GMP/ISO practices. Strong collaboration with Engineering and Production is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of equipment engineering, maintenance, or calibration experience.
• Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing laboratory equipment.
• Experience coordinating OEM or third‑party service providers.
• Familiarity with GMP/ISO quality practices is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and calibration on lab and production equipment.
• Diagnose failures, perform repairs, verify performance, and coordinate return to service with users and Quality.
• Support instruments such as liquid handlers, HPLC systems, centrifuges, and related lab gear.
• Determine outsourcing needs and coordinate OEM/service provider visits.
• Create and maintain CMMS work orders, track history and inventory.
• Support deviations, investigations, and corrective actions with Quality and equipment users.
• Communicate status and recovery times to users and management; share knowledge with the team.
