GenScript USA Inc/ProBio Inc. in New Jersey seeks an Automation Engineer to develop and optimize high-throughput automation workflows for biomanufacturing.

You will maintain and upgrade automation methods, troubleshoot equipment, and support tech transfer across teams at the Piscataway site. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or biomedical engineering and 1+ year of automation experience, plus proficiency with lab instruments and scripting for Tecan, Hamilton, and Thermo

Formación

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or biomedical engineering.
• 1+ year of automation development experience in biomanufacturing.
• Experience with laboratory instrumentation and automation systems.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Experience troubleshooting liquid handling instruments (e.g., Tecan Fluent, Hamilton STAR).
• Experience scripting/protocols for Tecan, Hamilton, Thermo Momentum Scheduler.

Responsabilidades

• Develop new automation workflows to meet high-throughput biomanufacturing needs.
• Maintain and upgrade existing automation methods.
• Provide hands-on support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for lab instruments and larger automation systems.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, software, and integration issues to minimize downtime.
• Manage project timeline and coordinate with internal resources.
• Communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth tech transfer.
