Job summary

• Experience with application testing, validation, troubleshooting, and performance evaluation.
• Familiarity with software applications, workflow automation, and scripting.
• Experience creating technical documentation, validation reports, and SOPs.

Responsibilities

PAL Solutions is looking for an Application Specialist to join our growing Application Lab team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between laboratory science, automation, and digital innovation by developing, testing, and validating customer-specific applications, workflows, and automation solutions.

You will work closely with customers, Product Management, Sales, Technical Support, and Development teams to ensure that our solutions deliver exceptional performance, usability, and value in real-world laboratory environments.

Your Responsibilities

• Test and validate customer-specific applications, digital solutions, and automation workflows.


• Support proof-of-concept studies and feasibility assessments for customer and internal development projects.


• Provide on-site support during implementation and validation activities at customer laboratories.


• Conduct functional, performance, and usability testing of applications, workflows, tools, and platform solutions.


• Evaluate user experience and provide feedback to Product Management and Development teams.


• Create and maintain test reports, validation records, technical documentation, and SOPs.


• Deliver application guidance, scripting support, and user training in collaboration with Technical Support.


• Drive continuous improvement of applications and workflows regarding functionality, quality, performance, and user adoption.


• Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business and application requirements.

What You Bring

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical field, or equivalent hands-on laboratory experience.


• Practical experience in analytical chemistry, laboratory automation, and robotics.


• Experience with application testing, validation, troubleshooting, and performance evaluation.


• Familiarity with software applications, workflow automation, and scripting.


• Experience creating technical documentation, validation reports, and SOPs.

Technical Knowledge

• Good understanding of analytical chemistry, including automated sample preparation, method development, and validation.


• Knowledge of laboratory automation workflows and analytical processes.


• Experience with GCMS and/or LCMS systems is an advantage.


• Understanding of robotics, automation modules, software applications, and system integration.
