Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Lab Associate I in West Hills, CA, working Tuesday to Saturday from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM. The role supports laboratory operations, including sample preparation, labeling, processing, and data entry, ensuring accurate handling and documentation in a high-compliance environment.

The position emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and adherence to safety policies. Relevant HS diploma and basic lab exposure preferred; full-time with competitive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college courses 2–3 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and organizes samples for testing, including racking, aliquoting, and tube preparation.
• Labels, handles, processes or prepares, transports and stores specimens.
• Identifies sample problems and assists in resolution with licensed personnel or supervisor.
• Prepares testing equipment and assists with preventive maintenance; notifies staff of equipment issues.
• Maintains records of reagents and media using established procedures and stock solutions.
• Manages inventory of consumables and restocks benches and equipment.
• Performs data entry and transfers results to LIS for review.
• Tally workload data and prepare reports as requested.
• Contributes to quality control procedures and CAPA documentation.
• Answers phones and maintains confidentiality of client information.
