Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Lab Associate II in San Juan Capistrano, CA. This non-licensed role supports routine lab operations, sample preparation, labeling, and data entry.

Work schedule is Thursday to Monday, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with a pay range of $22.48–$28.94 per hour and eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Qualifications include 1 year of lab experience; a Bachelor’s in Biological Science or Chemistry is preferred, or a HS diploma with relevant experience.

Qualifications

• 1 year of histopathology, cytology or other laboratory experience.
• 1 year of experience handling PHI and using LIS.
• 2-3 years of laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and organizes samples for testing, including racking, aliquoting and tube prep.
• Labels, handles, processes and stores specimens; ensures proper transportation.
• Assists licensed personnel in pre- and post-analytic testing activities.
• Maintains reagents, logs and stock; manages LIS data entry and reporting.
• Performs quality control procedures and supports training.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree Biological Science or Chemistry

High School Diploma with 2-3 years of laboratory experience
