Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to join our lab team. The role involves collecting blood samples via venipuncture, preparing specimens, and performing processing in line with CMS/CLIA and OSHA standards.

No prior experience is required, though 1 year in a healthcare or clinical laboratory setting and experience with EKGs are preferred. CPT phlebotomy certification is welcome.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• No experience required; 1 year in phlebotomy or related field preferred.
• Experience with EKGs and healthcare or clinical lab setting preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification (CPT) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipuncture and prepares blood specimens.
• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests per CMS/CLIA/OSHA standards.
• Assists technical staff with non-clinical tasks.

Responsibilities

Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory, established standards as may be applicable. Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures. Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required

Work Experience
