Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform venipunctures, collect samples, and support clinical testing in accordance with CLIA and Piedmont policies.

No experience required; GED is accepted and training is provided. Preferred candidates have CPT phlebotomy certification and experience with EKGs.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• No experience required; 1 year preferred.
• Experience with venipuncture/phlebotomy preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification (CPT) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and Piedmont policies.
• Performs venipunctures and obtains/prepares blood specimens per Piedmont procedures.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures. Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

Work Experience

• No experience required Required
• 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist Preferred
• Experience in performing EKGs Preferred
• Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting Preferred
