Job summary

Carter BloodCare is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support routine laboratory operations and frontline customer service in our PQC laboratories. You will assist with testing-related tasks, documentation, and adherence to SOPs to ensure accurate data and safe, quality service for patients and partners.

This full-time role may require working evenings, nights, weekends, and overtime to meet operational needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• General laboratory and/or blood center experience preferred.
• Customer service training and experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret instructions and apply guidelines accurately.

THE SCHEDULES FOR THESE POSITIONS ARE Sunday - Wednesday (4/10s) 630 PM - 500 AM OR Thursday - Sunday (4/10S) 1230 AM - 11 AM.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITYThe Laboratory Assistant (LA) participates in competency and educational opportunities and all activities in the R&T department(s), including performing multiple services associated with assigned departmental duties, laboratory support and customer services. These duties are in the scope of complexity according to accrediting agencies.By accomplishing these duties, the LA ensures that daily operations in the PQC laboratories meet and follow all established guidelines, provide excellence in service, and meet the needs of all PQC customers.The LA exemplifies and champions Carter BloodCare (CBC) Core Values and Code of Conduct, and adheres to CBC policies and applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
