Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Georgia is seeking a phlebotomist for full time or part time schedules. Responsibilities include sample processing, venipuncture, and preparing blood specimens in compliance with CMS (CLIA '88) and Piedmont policies.

Education required: GED. No experience is required; 1 year phlebotomy experience and EKGs experience are preferred. Prior healthcare or clinical laboratory exposure is also preferred.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• No experience required. First year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Experience performing EKGs preferred.
• Experience in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable standards as applicable.
• Performs venipunctures and prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
