Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a compassionate phlebotomist to join its clinical laboratory team. Responsibilities include sample processing, venipuncture, and preparing blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and CLIA standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, no experience is required, though 1 year of phlebotomy and EKG experience are preferred. Certification in phlebotomy is preferred but not required.

Formación

• Education: H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• No experience required; 1 year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy Certification preferred; CPT preferred but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88) and Piedmont policies.
• Performs venipunctures and collects blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont procedures.
• Assists technical staff with non-clinical tasks.
• Ensures compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures. Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

Qualifications:

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required

Work Experience

• No experience required Required
• 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist Preferred
• Experience in performing EKGs Preferred
• Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• None Required
• CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency Preferred
