Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform specimen collection, sample processing, and associated tasks across all shifts. The role supports exempt screening and monitoring tests in line with CMS CLIA standards and Piedmont procedures.

Education requires a GED; no experience is required, though 1 year as a phlebotomist and EKG experience are preferred. Certification by CPT is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No experience required; 1 year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Experience performing EKGs preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification through ASCP/ASPT/NCA or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88) and Piedmont policies and procedures.
• Performs venipunctures and prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures; assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures. Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
