Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to join the laboratory team on multiple shifts. This role involves sample processing, venipuncture procedures, and assisting technical staff in non-clinical tasks, with full-time and part-time schedules available.

Education required is a GED, with No experience required and a preference for candidates with 1 year of phlebotomy experience, EKG skills, or healthcare/lab setting exposure.

Competenze

• GED or high school diploma required.
• No experience required.
• 1 year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• EKG experience preferred.
• Healthcare or clinical laboratory experience preferred.
• CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification preferred.

Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures. Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

Qualifications:

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required

Work Experience

• No experience required Required
• 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist Preferred
• Experience in performing EKGs Preferred
• Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• None Required
• CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency Preferred
