Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Phlebotomist for full-time or part-time schedules on all shifts in Stone Mountain, GA. The role involves processing samples, screening tests, and collecting blood specimens in line with CMS (CLIA '88) and Piedmont policies.

Must have a high school diploma or GED; no experience required but 1 year as a phlebotomist and EKG experience are preferred. Phlebotomy certification is preferred. Training and opportunities are available within a healthcare setting.

Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory, established standards as may be applicable. Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures. Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

Qualifications:

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required

Work Experience

• No experience required Required
• 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist Preferred
• Experience in performing EKGs Preferred
• Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• None Required
• CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency Preferred
