Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a phlebotomy professional for full-time and part-time shifts. You will perform sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS/CLIA, and you will collect blood specimens by venipuncture per Piedmont policies. Responsibilities include assisting technical staff in non-clinical tasks and supporting the laboratory workflow.

Education: H.S. diploma or GED required; CPT/phlebotomy certification preferred; experience in EKG and

• Performs venipunctures and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont procedures.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks to support laboratory operations.

Qualifications:

Education

Work Experience

• No experience required Required
• 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist Preferred
• Experience in performing EKGs Preferred
• Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• None Required
• CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency Preferred
