Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is seeking a Lab Assistant II for Lewisville, TX. Shifts Tue–Sat, 4:00 PM–12:30 AM, with training Mon–Fri 8:00 AM–4:30 PM for 3–4 weeks. Department: Clinical Toxicology Technology Operations Support.

Pay starts at $17.20/hour with possible 10%/15% shift differentials and bonus potential. Benefits begin Day 1 for FT employees working 30+ hours; includes health, wellness, 401(k), and education assistance.

Qualifications

• One year of full-time experience in a technical or clinical laboratory department.
• Must be able to perform specimen receiving, labeling, handling and preparation.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen receiving, labeling,handlingand preparation.
• Assist with pre-analytical preparation of specimens (e.g.,printing labels,uncap/cap specimen tubes,aliquot specimens,prepare racks, worklists, enter/scanspecimensand load automated instruments).
• Record digital temperature; notify licensed personnel if temperature is out of range.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance on some equipment.
• Assist in preparation of chemicals,reagentsand solutions.
• Enter data in laboratory information systems (LIS).
• Comply with health and safety policies,proceduresand practices. Required to use personal protective equipment.
