Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college courses (2-3 years) preferred.
• Laboratory experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and organizes samples for testing, including racking, aliquoting, and tube preparation.
• Labels, handles, processes, transports, and stores specimens.
• Identifies sample problems and helps resolve or escalate as needed.
• Prepares testing equipment and assists with preventive maintenance; notifies staff of issues.
• Performs data entry and transcribes results for licensing review.
• Maintains inventory of reagents and supplies; logs and restocks as needed.
• Sorts and accessiones specimens into LIS, then delivers for testing.
• Maintains complete records of reagents and media.
