Job summary

The UCLA Addictions Research Laboratory, within the UCLA Department of Psychology, seeks a Lab Assistant II to support clinical studies and coordinate recruitment, screening, and retention of participants. You will train and supervise undergraduate researchers and assist with data entry and regulatory tasks.

Strong organizational and communication skills are essential, as is experience in lab settings and familiarity with SPSS/Qualtrics.

Qualifications

Experience recruiting, training and supervising undergraduate research assistants.
Experience working in lab research settings.
Familiarity with SCID and other diagnostic tools (preferred).
Experience handling human biological specimens (preferred).
Strong prioritization and multitasking to meet deadlines.
Clear verbal and written communication with participants and staff.
Excellent organization and communication with empathy for participants.
Team player with ability to work independently.
Advanced computer skills with PC/Mac apps and databases.
Familiarity with study software (e.g., Qualtrics) (preferred).

Responsibilities

Provide research support for UCLA Addictions Research Laboratory.
Coordinate subject recruitment, screening and retention with community participants.
Handle data entry and manage study regulatory aspects.
