Job summary

The University of Chicago's Clinical Addictions Research Laboratory (CARL) seeks a Research Assistant to support a variety of studies on substance use disorders and related interventions. You will lead recruitment, conduct screenings, collect data during visits and follow-ups, and assist with literature reviews and regulatory paperwork under supervision.

Responsibilities include data entry, database management, and creating tables and figures for reports.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in MS Excel and electronic data capture (REDCap).
• Experience in coding and statistical programs (R, Python, Java, SPSS, STATA, etc.).
• Excellent professional and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment and retention for studies.
• Screen participants and enroll in studies.
• Enter data and manage study databases.
• Coordinate study-related communications among staff and participants.
• Assist in data analyses and prepare tables, graphs, and charts for reports.
