Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is hiring a Lab Assistant I for Royal Oak, MI, working Monday to Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM with rotational weekend duties. This entry-level role supports the assigned lab department and participates in handling samples, reagents, and basic waived tests under supervision.

The position offers shift differential potential and comprehensive benefits. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and be eligible for entry-level laboratory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provides a wide variety of support for assigned lab department.
• Picks up samples from accessioning and sorts samples into appropriate racks.
• Answers phone and directs calls appropriately
• Unpacks and stores reagents and supplies
• Inventories and orders warehouse supply items
• Sorts samples and distributes them to the appropriate setup hood. Manages specimen library within established time frames.
• Performs waived tests under supervision
• All other duties as assigned.
