LabCorp is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. This role operates in a high-volume, production-based environment, performing a vital component of clinical lab science.

Tuesday-Saturday, 3am to 11:30am

Job Duties/Responsibilities

1. Receive and sort clinical lab specimens
2. Prepare specimens for testing and analysis for chemistry testing
3. Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information
4. Ensure all lab equipment is functioning properly and perform minor maintenance
5. Troubleshoot specimen-related issues
6. Replenish test bench supplies as needed
7. Maintain a clean and safe work environment
8. Complete record logs and other administrative duties
9. Follow all SOPs to ensure safety and quality standards

Requirements

1. High School Diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years of experience
2. Previous medical/lab or production experience preferred
3. Comfortable handling biological specimens
4. Ability to accurately identify specimens
5. Basic computer and data entry skills
6. High attention to detail, able to prioritize and multitask
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet turnaround times
8. Strong written and verbal communication skills
9. Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods
10. Must pass a color blindness test
11. Flexibility to work overtime as needed
