Job Summary

The Quality Technician will be responsible for completing mechanical testing including Tensile, Yield & Elongation along with bend or crush testing to industry or customer requirements. The technician shall act with integrity in all testing results and records.

Required Education/Experience

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Proven ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
• Proven ability to operate test and inspection equipment.
• Proven ability to operate Band Saw and CNC.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

• Prior experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience in quality testing and inspection procedures.
• Good math, problem-solving, and computer skills.
• Ability to understand and adhere to lab and company quality/safety documentation.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to all plant personnel levels.
• English required; Spanish preferred.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare test specimens to industry and Hydro standards.
• Perform mechanical testing including bend and crush testing to testing procedures and ensure compliance.
• Perform torque testing on various parts.
• Perform Safe Launch on assigned part numbers per process instructions.
• Maintain the highest levels of ethical and compliant behavior.
• Other duties as assigned by Quality Manager.
