Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Lab Assistant in Richland, WA to join our team on a Monday–Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm schedule. The role involves receiving and sorting clinical specimens, preparing them for testing, and performing data entry and basic instrument maintenance.

You will contribute to high-quality lab operations, maintain safety standards, and support documentation and record-keeping. Prior lab exposure is preferred, and a strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in Medical Lab Science, Biology, Chemistry or related science preferred.
• 6 months or more hospital or lab specimen processing preferred.
• 6 months or more in a clinical or research laboratory preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and data entry of specimen and patient information.
• Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance.
• Troubleshoot any specimen related issues.
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards.

PAML a Labcorp company is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our team in Richland, WA.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm overtime and rotating weekends may be required

Job Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information
• Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 Months or more in a clinical or research laboratory

• Ability to accurately identify specimens
• Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills

• Ability to work in a fast paced production environment and meet established turn-around times
• Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed

Pay Range:

$18.15 to 25.32

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

Benefits:

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
