Job summary

The Huntsman Cancer Institute is seeking a Laboratory Aide II to support clinical trials by collecting, processing, and shipping research samples. You will work in a fast-paced lab environment under the CTO, with emphasis on specimen handling, labeling, and documentation.

Responsibilities include adherence to CDC-immunization requirements, time management, and collaboration with sponsors and clinical staff. Benefits and campus resources are provided by the University of Utah.

Qualifications

• Equivalency: 1 year of higher education can substitute for 1 year of directly related work experience.
• Laboratory Aide II requires at least 1 year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Follows procedures for collection, processing, storage and shipment of research specimens.
• Ensures specimen integrity and accurate labeling of specimens and related documentation.
• Manages time and workload to meet deadlines and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Communicates effectively with CTO, Sponsors, and Clinic/Hospital Staff.
