Qualifications

• Entry level; on-the-job training provided.
• Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.

• Knowledge of appropriate specimen handling techniques preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares yeast or mammalian cell lysates and growth media.
• Assists the Principal Investigator in nucleic acid or protein isolation and purification.
• Performs molecular and cell biology techniques: PCR, immunofluorescence and immunoblotting.
• Maintains laboratory stocks of sterile microfuge tubes, culture tubes, tips and replica-plating cloth.
• Maintains accurate and detailed experimental records.
