Qualifications

• Equivalency: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience.
• Department may hire at Laboratory Aide II level with at least 1 year of related experience.
• Professional maturity in communication, self-conduct, behavior, dress, ethics, and decision-making.
• Capable of multitasking and paying attention to details.
• Knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment, and terminology, plus approved specimen handling knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Follows procedures and work practices related to collection, processing, storage and shipment of research specimens.
• Validate SP requests and prepare kits and other materials for specimen collections per standard lab practices.
• Manage primary trial assignments and related duties.
• Ensure specimen integrity through proper handling and accurate labeling.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with CTO, Sponsors, and Clinic/Hospital staff.
• Work independently and apply problem-solving skills with available resources.
