University of Utah Health is seeking an entry-level Laboratory Aide to perform non-technical procedures in a research laboratory and maintain facilities, equipment and records at the Huntsman Cancer Institute. This part-time, day-shift role supports the HCI Biorepository with on-site work at the Campus location in Salt Lake City, UT.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position with on-the-job training provided.
• Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
• General knowledge of laboratory procedures and terminology preferred.
• Equivalency: 1 year of higher education can substitute for 1 year of related work experience.

Responsabilités

• Confers with senior laboratory personnel regarding procedures and techniques to be followed.
• Performs tests and procedures using laboratory equipment.
• Assists in maintaining the physical environment of the lab.
• Will assist in uploading patient information into database.
