Job summary

Baekjeong Los Angeles is seeking a pantry cook to support daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced restaurant. You will set up stations, prepare side dishes, sauces, and garnishes, and ensure accurate labeling and safe storage of foods.

We value individuals who can follow health and safety rules, work well in a team, and handle busy service periods with attention to detail and proper food handling practices. 1+ year in a high-volume kitchen is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or higher education preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in high-paced kitchen environment preferred.
• Must know how to clean, sharpen, maintain kitchen knives.
• Familiar with the taste of authentic Korean food preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up stations and collect all necessary supplies to prepare for service.
• Prepare a variety of foods including various side dishes and sauces.
• Label, date, and store all food items per safe handling procedures.
• Monitor stock, inform chef of shortages, and assist with orders.
• Ensure proper plating, temperature, and portion control for dishes.
• Maintain cleanliness by sanitizing prep surfaces and equipment.
• Assist team members in tastings and overall kitchen duties.
