Job summary

Gcs-Recruitment-Specialists is seeking a hands-on L3 IT Support Engineer to support critical infrastructure across multiple operations facilities in the United States. The role is onsite, ensuring hardware deployments and live-site support within a fast-paced environment, coordinating with Amazon site teams.

You will build, image, configure, and deploy hardware, troubleshoot Layer 1/2 networks, manage fiber and cabling, and follow SOPs while updating tickets in ServiceNow.

Qualifications

• 1 year+ hands-on experience in a data center or live-site environment.
• Experience building, imaging, and deploying hardware at scale.
• Strong knowledge of Layer 1/2 networking concepts.
• Experience with structured cabling, patch panels, and fiber optics.
• Proficient with Windows 11 and comfortable in Linux CLI.
• Ability to follow documented SOPs and troubleshoot effectively.
• Strong problem-solving and ticketing skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, image, configure, and deploy hardware across facilities.
• Support devices, peripherals, and connectivity issues.
• Troubleshoot Layer 1/2 with cabling and port diagnostics.
• Install fiber and structured cabling; perform rack-and-stack.
• Execute change management tasks per SOPs.
• Respond to incidents in a live operational environment.
• Escalate issues when outside documented procedures.
• Manage and update tickets in the ticketing system.
• Support onboarding of new team members and process improvement.
