Gcs-Recruitment-Specialists is seeking an L3 IT Support Engineer to support critical infrastructure across multiple facilities. The role involves hands-on hardware deployments, troubleshooting, and maintaining site operations in live environments.

You will work with Amazon site teams to provide onsite support during peak periods, performing imaging, cabling, fiber work, and change management per SOPs. Requires 1+ year data center experience and strong hardware knowledge.

Qualifications

• 1+ year hands-on technical experience in data center or live-site environments.
• Experience building, imaging, and deploying hardware at scale.
• Knowledge of Layer 1 and Layer 2 networking concepts.
• Experience with structured cabling, patch panels, and fiber optics.
• Comfortable working in Windows 11 and Linux command-line environments.

Responsibilities

• Build, image, configure, and deploy hardware across facilities.
• Provide device, peripheral, and connectivity issue support.
• Perform Layer 1/2 troubleshooting, including cabling and port diagnostics.
• Install and support fiber cabling and rack-and-stack activities.
• Execute change management tasks per SOPs.
• Respond to incidents in a live operational environment.
• Escalate issues when outside documented procedures.
• Manage and update tickets in enterprise ticketing systems.
• Assist new team members and support continuous improvement.
