Job summary

Comfort Systems USA is hiring a detail-oriented L2 Systems Analyst to join the IT Operations team in Houston. You will provide second-level technical support, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure stability and reliability of enterprise systems.

Responsibilities include on-call participation, root-cause analysis, and documentation. Requires a 3–5 year IT background with Windows/Linux, AD, DNS/DHCP, M365, virtualization, and basic networking knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent IT experience.
• 3–5 years in IT support, systems administration, or related role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, AD, DNS, DHCP, and M365.
• Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and basic networking.
• Familiarity with ITSM, ITIL, ticketing systems, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for enterprise systems and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot escalated incidents from L1 and perform root cause analysis.
• Monitor performance, availability, and capacity of systems.
• Maintain Windows/Linux servers and cloud environments.
• Manage user access and identity services (Active Directory).
• Assist patching, upgrades, and change management activities.
• Collaborate with vendors for issue resolution.
• Create and maintain runbooks and knowledge base articles.
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident response.
• Ensure IT policy and security standards are followed.
