Job summary

Jobtailor in Tempe, AZ seeks an experienced IT Systems Administrator to provide L1/L2 support and manage Windows and Linux infrastructure. You will handle Active Directory, virtualization, backups, and network troubleshooting, with onsite work twice weekly and some remote responsibilities.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in system administration, strong documentation, and the ability to work in data centers. CompTIA, Microsoft, Linux, and scripting skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in system administration or L1/L2 technical support.
• Hands‑on experience with Windows Server environments and Active Directory.
• Working knowledge of Linux system administration and command‑line operations.
• Experience with VMware and Hyper‑V virtualization technologies.
• Understanding of network troubleshooting and TCP/IP fundamentals.

• Must be within driving distance of Tempe, Arizona.

• Ability to work in server rooms and confined spaces, including under‑floor cable management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor performance and optimize systems.
• Resolve and expand ITSM tickets.
• Provide advanced workstation software break‑fix support for Windows and Linux clients.
• Perform IMAC operations in enterprise environments.
• Image and deploy systems using SCCM, WDS, or similar tools.
• Manage asset lifecycle and inventory control.
• Support enterprise printers and peripherals, including network printers.
• Provide Client Center/Tech Bar technical support.
• Diagnose and replace hardware.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity and manage cabling.
• Provide regular onsite support in Tempe, Arizona twice weekly, with additional remote support responsibilities.
