Job summary

Virtual Service Operations is seeking a System Administrator to provide L2 support, manage Windows and Linux environments, and maintain enterprise infrastructure. You will handle server administration, virtualization, backup and recovery, and security compliance while documenting processes.

The role includes desktop support, imaging, asset management, and printer/network troubleshooting. U.S. citizenship is required for government contracts; 2+ years of relevant experience is expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in system administration or L2 technical support.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server environments and Active Directory.
• Working knowledge of Linux system administration and command-line operations.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Understanding in network troubleshooting and TCP/IP fundamentals.
• Experience with IT ticketing systems and ITSM processes.
• Knowledge of enterprise backup and recovery procedures.
• Understanding of change management and incident management frameworks.
• Strong documentation and technical communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship status required due to government contract.

Responsibilities

• Systems Administration: Windows Server admin, Linux admin, server hardware maintenance, virtualization support, backup and recovery, patch management, performance monitoring, ITSM ticketing.
• Desktop and Infrastructure Support: advanced workstation break-fix, IMAC, system imaging/deployment, asset lifecycle management, printer/peripheral support, Tech Bar support, hardware diagnostics, network troubleshooting.
