Job summary

Gruve is seeking an L2 System Administrator to support enterprise Oracle and SQL Server databases. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain backups, ensuring data integrity and SLA adherence across a follow-the-sun model.

The role collaborates with L1/L3 teams, applies ITIL processes, and requires 3–6 years of hands-on DB experience in an enterprise setting. This is a full-time position with global coverage.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years hands-on experience supporting Oracle and/or SQL Server environments.
• Strong knowledge of backup, restore, and high-availability fundamentals.
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, SLA-driven operations and ITIL processes.
• Familiarity with ITSM tools (ServiceNow) and cross-team coordination.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2 support for Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server incidents and requests.
• Monitor availability, sessions, locks, alerts, backups and maintenance jobs.
• Coordinate restores, disaster recovery activities and patching with teams.
• Escalate complex issues to L3 Database SMEs and maintain runbooks.
