Job summary

SMS InfoComm Corporation in Grapevine, TX, seeks a Server Repair Technician to test, diagnose, and replace parts on servers sent for repair. You will run server stress tests, document results, and coordinate with motherboard repair, QC, and testing staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prefer 1 year experience in a repair depot or similar environment.
• Able to read and write English.
• Experience with component replacement such as LCD/HDD across models.
• Familiar with models such as ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Toshiba, Apple, Acer.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and diagnose servers.
• Replace parts as needed.
• Conduct and analyze server stress tests.
• Document symptoms, test results, and parts replaced.
• Collaborate with motherboard repair, QC, and inspections staff.
• Provide back-up for QC and motherboard testing.
• Maintain parts consumption and assist with warehousing processes.
