Job summary

Divergent in Los Angeles seeks an experienced Additive Manufacturing Equipment Engineer II to take ownership of production equipment post-qualification. You will work at the intersection of equipment engineering, manufacturing, quality, reliability, and operations, applying independent judgment to solve complex problems and improve standard work with input from senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Experience with RCCA or structured root cause methodologies.
• Cross-functional collaboration with engineering, operations, and maintenance.
• Analytical, data-driven decision making for production improvements.
• Experience with L-PBF or metal additive manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take technical responsibility for assigned production equipment after qualification.
• Drive improvements in reliability, throughput, yield, and OEE.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues across mechanical, electrical, controls, software, and processes.
• Apply engineering standards and provide feedback to design teams.
• Support capital equipment installation, commissioning, and ramp activities.
• Develop and document standard work and maintenance procedures.
• Collaborate with controls, software, mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers.
