Job summary

Divergent is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Process & Equipment Engineer II to transition new L-PBF production equipment from development to high-volume manufacturing. You will stabilize machines, improve reliability, and help scale the fleet across factories while collaborating with engineering, operations, and quality teams.

The role focuses on troubleshooting, implementing engineering standards, and supporting cost reductions through equipment optimization and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline is required.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.
• Experience with RCCA/5 Whys/Fishbone for root cause analysis.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, quality, and maintenance teams.

Responsibilities

• Take technical responsibility for assigned production L-PBF equipment after qualification.
• Improve machine reliability, throughput, yield, and OEE for assigned assets.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, controls, and process issues.
• Provide feedback to design engineering on machine performance and reliability.
• Support RCCA investigations and implement corrective actions.
