Job summary

M&T Bank is seeking a detail-oriented professional to process amendments for commercial and standby letters of credit, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. You will support cross-training, participate in project teams, and apply ITF controls to detect fraudulent items while upholding risk standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma with at least three years’ experience, strong customer service, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Location is Baltimore, MD on-site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and a minimum of 3 years’ work experience
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Process amendments of Commercial and/or Performance/Financial Standby Letters of Credit for customers in a timely and accurate manner
• Provide cross-training assistance for less experienced staff; provide management feedback on progress of cross-training efforts
• Participate as a member of letter of credit project teams as required
• Identify fraudulently presented items through use of ITF policies, procedures and controls
• Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls; escalate risk issues to management
• Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand
• Maintain internal control standards, including timely implementation of audit points and response to regulator findings
• Complete other related duties as assigned
