Job summary

Paxos is seeking a Compliance KYC Manager to lead a team responsible for customer onboarding and ongoing due diligence, reviewing complex cases, and coaching risk-based decision-making. You will own KYC policies, drive remediation of control gaps, and partner with Product, Engineering, and Data to improve processes and tooling.

This role reports to senior management, provides clear operational reporting, and supports audits and regulatory exams.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of US KYC requirements and ongoing due diligence.
• Experience leading KYC operations with queue management and case reviews.
• Proven ability to coach analysts, set performance expectations, and allocate capacity.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Data.
• Ability to communicate trade-offs and drive work to completion.
• Experience remediating control gaps and audit findings.
• Experience reporting metrics to senior management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; hands-on, fast-paced mindset.
• Familiarity with AI and automation tools with data protection considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day KYC operations across onboarding and ongoing due diligence, managing queues, priorities, quality, and turnaround times.
• Be hands-on in complex case reviews and escalations, applying sound, risk-based judgment and ensuring decisions are clearly documented.
• Develop and coach the KYC team, including capacity planning across operational and project commitments.
• Own and maintain policies, procedures, and operational guidance reflecting applicable requirements.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Data, and business teams to resolve challenges and communicate priorities.
• Build and maintain relationships with Paxos enterprise partners and their Compliance teams.
• Identify control gaps and lead remediation, including root-cause analysis and action planning.
• Participate in internal and external audits and regulatory examinations, coordinating responses.
• Manage KYC vendor relationships, including performance and enhancements.
• Drive improvements to KYC tooling and workflows, including user testing and adoption.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and control through automation and AI governance.
• Develop and report operational metrics to senior management.
• Support the Compliance Operations team through occasional weekend duty, as needed.
