Job summary

Commonwealth of Kentucky is hiring a Safety/Security Officer at the KY Veterans Center in Radcliff. This role protects residents, staff and property and supports transportation of veterans as needed.

Responsibilities include patrols, access control, incident response, and coordinating with local authorities. Two years of security-related experience and a high school diploma are required; a valid driver’s license is also mandatory.

Job Description

The Radcliff Veteran Center is a skilled nursing facility that cares for the Commonwealth of Kentucky’sVeterans. Our mission is to Serve Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity andproviding compassionate care.

The KY Veterans Center Safety/Security Officer position is responsible for performing duties in providingsafety and security for the Carl M. Brashear Radcliff Veterans Center facilities, grounds, buildings, andtransportation of residents and other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION:

High school graduate.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:

Must have two years of military, security guard/officer, safety, corrections, or law enforcement experience.

Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION:

Additional experience in one of the above areas will substitute for the required education on a year-for- year basis.

Working Conditions

Incumbents working in this job title must be able to work extended hours and perform work outdoors during inclement weather. Must be able to respond to emergencies 24/7.
